In the time of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we reach out to members with the following message:
Date: March 27, 2020
Hola Nuestra Gente,
Numerous changes have come into our lives in the past few weeks as we have been adapting and transitioning into new ways of working, learning, and socializing remotely in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
La Alianza is reaching out to recognize that this can be a challenging time for many of our members and to offer support. Do not hesitate to reach out to the officers during this time, even if you only need a friend to talk to.
La Alianza is dedicated to helping our members and community during these difficult times and is currently working on ways to keep the general body active and in-touch during this time. We are working on possible virtual movie nights and game nights!
We encourage our members to be active in the movement to reduce the rate and spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing as advised by the CDC.
Here are a couple links to help you pass time:
A list of 100 things you can try to pass time during self-distancing
A list of workouts to try at home
Be kind to yourselves as well. We are all going through this together, and it's okay if you need time in the day to just sit and relax. Productivity is not always key, but mental well-being should be a priority. For that reason, the officers are here if you need someone to listen and the counselor on-call remains active for CWRU students at 216-368-5872.
For those in financial need, you are encouraged to apply to the Student Activities Fee COVID-19 Emergency Fund (here)
Con mucho amor, los extrañamos,
